• Account information (name, email) when you sign up via Clerk authentication
• Poll data you create (titles, options, descriptions)
• Participation data (pairwise comparison responses, champion selections)
• Optional demographic data (age range, gender, location) when provided
• Usage data (pages visited, features used)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and improve the Declair platform
• Process and aggregate poll results
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account
• Communicate service updates when necessary

3. Aggregated & Anonymous Data

All poll results on Declair are aggregated and anonymized. This means:

• Rankings and statistics are computed from collective votes — individual vote sequences are never exposed
• Demographic data is shown only as aggregated distributions (e.g., "35% of voters were 18-24")
• Demographic groups smaller than 5 respondents are suppressed to prevent identification
• No personal data (user IDs, emails, names) is included in any shared results

Aggregated, anonymized poll results may be shared publicly on the Declair platform, including through a results marketplace in the future. Your personal data is never sold or shared.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers (Clerk for authentication, Neon for database hosting) under strict data processing agreements. Poll results visible to other users are always in aggregated, anonymized form.

5. Anonymous Participation

Your votes are anonymous by design. Comparison choices are stored without user identifiers in the results. Flow creators may additionally enable fully anonymous participation where no account is required.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Poll data is retained until deleted by the flow creator. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

7. Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and database-level access controls.
